Professional
In medical school, Dr. Everett was chosen by his peers for membership in the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GGHS), which recognizes students, residents, and faculty who are exemplars of compassionate patient-focused care. In residency, he served as Chief Resident for the Family Medicine Residency. He continues to work with medical students to promote interest and knowledge about the benefits of well rounded primary care in rural communities.

At Grace Cottage, he has committed to broad-spectrum family medicine with emphasis on helping patients and families understand their own health and navigate the complicated medical system. Also, he carries the goal of helping the community access appropriate procedural care. He currently offers dermatologic procedures, Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC), vasectomies, and several types of orthopedic injections.

Personal
Dr. Everett grew up in southern Vermont and has returned to practice family medicine here and to be a member of small-town Vermont again. He lives with his wife and daughter and enjoys spending time outdoors with them in all of Vermont’s seasons.

“I chose to pursue a career in family medicine while working with Dr. Shafer at Grace Cottage during my fourth year of medical school. Grace Cottage has always represented the best of family medicine, in my mind. I feel incredibly grateful and humbled to be returning here to continue my career as a physician.”
