Professional
A graduate of Oberlin College and Dartmouth School of Medicine, Dr. Timothy Shafer completed his residency at the Lancaster PA General Family Practice Residency Program. He came to Grace Cottage in 1984 as part of the National Health Services Corp sponsored by the Valley Health Council. He maintained his own practice in Townshend until rejoining Grace Cottage in 2003. Dr. Shafer is board certified in family practice and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Personal
Dr. Shafer and his wife, author Deborah Lee Luskin, have three daughters. Dr. Shafer has been cross-country skiing since he was six and loves the outdoors.
