Grace Cottage Family Health and Hospital provides high quality emergency care despite our small scale and rural location. Our six-bed emergency department includes a trauma/critical care room, a specialized behavioral health emergency room, and four general treatment areas. Our patients are cared for by highly-skilled and experienced Medical Providers and Nurses 24 hours a day.
We expect your “unexpected” and are here for you with full access to state of the art medical care and diagnostic testing without losing sight of our mission for personalized and compassionate emergency care. If you need a higher level of care we coordinate with tertiary hospitals and facilitate transport by air or ground to a nearby trauma center to ensure your treatment is appropriate and seamless.
Grace Cottage Family Health and Hospital provides emergency care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay or eligibility for financial assistance.
“I was painting our garage last fall when I fell 14 feet off the scaffolding. When I came to three hours later, I was looking at my wife in the ER at Grace Cottage. The Emergency Department staff made me feel relaxed and comfortable, as if I were the only one there. After I had a CT scan and an EKG to check for internal injuries (thankfully, there were none), they put 11 staples in the back of my head. My wife and I agreed that I was a better dentist (I’m retired now) than I am a painter! ~ Joe Prignano, Marlboro, VT
