Dr. Woodard has been serving as a nurse practitioner for 8 years, working in rural clinics, multispecialty primary care, and emergency medicine. Growing up rural, Benjamin has maintained a keen interest in the unique healthcare needs of rural and remote communities, and enjoys teaching these skills to new clinicians as an assistant professor and Co-director of the Rural Health Scholars Program at UMASS Medical in Worcester. He regularly teaches wilderness medicine and remote care, both here and abroad.

Personal
When not working, you can find Woodard on his farm raising bees and gardening, or in the woods, on a river, up a mountain, trail running, fly-fishing, or climbing.
