Nursing Care – Second to None
The nursing team at Grace Cottage Hospital is second to none, providing 24/7 medical services and compassionate care to improve patients’ health and strengthen their vitality.
Our nurses are highly trained and certified in rehabilitation services and acute care for patients with illnesses such as pneumonia, congestive heart failure, and COPD. In addition, they stay up-to-date on the best medical practices and state-of-the-art technology to help their patients regain a more active lifestyle.
Our patient-to-staff ratios are low, which means that patients receive individual attention, and nurses have the time to focus on each patient’s specific needs.
Caring – The Heart of Healing
Grace Cottage understands that the level of compassion, excellence, and commitment in our nursing staff is what brings people from throughout southern Vermont and beyond to our hospital to heal.
At Grace Cottage Hospital, we are especially proud that not only are our nurses committed to the physical and medical recovery of each patient, they are also compassionate and caring, going above and beyond to meet the needs of the “whole” patient.
Our nurses believe that caring is at the heart of healing.
Collaborative Care
Every decision is made in the patient’s best interest, and in collaboration with the patient, the family and the entire medical team — providers, physical therapists, mental health counselors, dieticians, social services, and others. Our nurses also play a role in helping patients plan for any additional support needed after their discharge.
