Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Ribbon Cutting & Open House

Outpatient Rehab ServicesPlease join us for the Grand Opening of the new Grace Cottage Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Building at 133 Grafton Road in Townshend, tomorrow (Wednesday, December 18) at noon. Tours of the interior of the building will be given from noon-1 pm. There will be a surprise announcement at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, after which attendees will have the opportunity to see the 11 new treatment rooms (including specific rooms designated for specialized pediatric treatment, hand & occupational therapy, lymphedema services, and pelvic health), and the large new Rehab gym. The demand for outpatient physical and occupational therapy has grown exponentially in the past few years, and this newly-expanded space is opening at just the right time!

Primary Care Clinic Named A Vital Project

Every year, the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) and the Bennington County Regional Commission (BCRC) select projects that align with the goals of the Southern Vermont Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), a federally-approved five-year action plan for regional growth. This year, their review committee designated 12 of their 83 submissions as “Southern Vermont Vital Projects” and Grace Cottage’s new primary care clinic project was one of the 12 projects to be selected. This is the second year that the primary care clinic project has been on the top of the list of Vital Projects.

Fundraising for the project continues, and thanks to many generous pledges and donations, we have raised $12,168,830.32 to date for the $21M project. As you can see, every penny is counted and makes a difference. For more information about the clinic project and our Campaign for the Future, click here.

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday 2024Thanks to the generosity of 52 Grace Cottage supporters, we raised over $20,000 on Giving Tuesday this year. All of these funds will be used to purchase several state-of-the-art pieces of equipment needed in the new Outpatient Rehabilitation Services gym. This equipment includes an upper body ergometer and recumbent bike which allows patients to work their upper body and lower body independently, with a removable seat for wheelchair access. In addition, the funds from Giving Tuesday have also been used to purchase a commercial four-stack gym, featuring four independent, unique exercise stations and weight stacks.

I hope that you and your loved ones have a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season and a New Year filled with all good things.
