NEW CLINIC UPDATE
Now that we’ve received our long-awaited Certificate of Need from Vermont’s Green Mountain Care Board (on November 17th), we’re completing the steps necessary to submit an application to Vermont’s Agency of Natural Resources/Natural Resources Board for an Act 250 permit. The Act 250 process requires compliance in ten areas of potential environmental impact.
Grace Cottage Family Health has 13 medical providers (including three mental health practitioners and a pediatric nurse practitioner). More than 30,000 patient visits occur annually in the two houses that were built in the 1840s and the clinic is bursting at the seams.
Once we receive an Act 250 permit, we will be working to raise the funds needed for this $20M project, which will be transformational for Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital and the patients and community that we serve.

TESTIMONIAL
We are grateful to the many members of the community who spoke on our behalf at the Green Mountain Care Board’s community forum this fall. This statement was submitted by one of our supporters:
“I am a woman with strong opinions about health care, based on my many years as a recipient of medical services in eight states. Some of my experiences were good, most were average, and a few were awful. For the past 20 years, I have received services from Grace Cottage’s clinic, ER, PT, lab, radiology, and pharmacy. I recommend that other hospitals study Grace Cottage, learn how they do what they do, and make that the standard for which all health care facilities should aspire. Grace Cottage is that good, and functions that well. I can think of nothing, not one thing, negative to say about Grace Cottage and the folks who work there. They deserve every accolade they receive.”

We humbly agree!
Giving Tuesday 2023
On Tuesday, November 28th, Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital asked our friends and neighbors to help us achieve our goal of building a new primary care clinic by making a Giving Tuesday donation. 70 supporters contributed a total of $32,000 for Giving Tuesday, which gets us that much closer to our goal. Thank you to all who contributed, on this day and every day!
GIVING BACK
Grace Cottage employees stepped up to the plate when asked to donate food for the holidays to the Townshend Community Food Shelf. Last week, over 250 lbs. of non-perishable food were donated.
I wish you and your loved ones a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season!
