A native of Fairfield, Connecticut, Dr. Rudd earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. He earned his M.D. and Masters of Public Health degrees from the University of Connecticut. After completing an Academic Medicine Fellowship at the In His Image Family Medicine Residency Program in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he received a Master of Health Care Delivery Science from Dartmouth College.

Fluent in Mandarin, Dr. Rudd practiced medicine in China from 2004-2011, where he helped to start a government-certified Family Medicine Residency Program and partnered with Chinese associates to further China’s national health care reform. He is also an Assistant Professor with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Dr. Rudd and his wife Wendy have six children. He enjoys fly fishing, camping, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, a cappella singing, computers, practical jokes, and rough housing with his kids.
