STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting functions, such as maintenance of the general ledger, including posting entries, allocations and reconciliation, as well as preparation of financial and statistical reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll
  • Prepare and post journal entries and supporting documentation into general ledger
  • Monthly and annual period close process
  • Maintain and reconciles general ledger accounts
  • Accounts Payable support
  • Reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and abilities:

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of financial statements and general ledger accounting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written

  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (equivalent work experience may substitute education requirement)

LICENSED NURSING ASSISTANT (LNA) – PART TIME – 24 Hours

Grace Cottage Family Health and Hospital has an immediate need for a part time LNA for our Inpatient Care unit.  Position is 24 hours per week on the evening shift.  Duties include assisting hospitalized patients with activities of daily living and providing basic nursing care as directed and supervised by a registered nurse. 

Requirements: Current Vermont licensure as a nursing assistant; minimum of 1 year experience preferred as an LNA in a Nursing  Home or Hospital setting; excellent communication and customer service skills.  Experience working with an electronic health record preferred.

UNIT SECRETARY – PER DIEM

Performs receptionist duties for the Inpatient Care Unit and Emergency Department (ED), greeting patients and visitors arriving at the Hospital. Alerts the ED RN of patients presenting for emergency care. Registers ED patients and new admissions to the Inpatient Unit following approved Hospital procedures, obtaining required information and consent for treatment. Functions as clerical support for the Inpatient Unit and ED.

Candidates must be detail oriented and able to multitask. Strong computer skills and excellent customer service skills a must. Knowledge of medical terminology a plus. Previous healthcare experience preferred.

CT/RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST. 32-40 hours/week

  • $3,000 Sign On Bonus

FAMILY PRACTICE PHYSICIAN

Our Family Health Clinic is a provider based Rural Health Clinic including 11 providers covering family practice and behavior health with approximately 7,300 individual patients annually. Grace Cottage also operates a 19 bed critical access hospital, and a full-service retail pharmacy.

We currently are seeking a Family Practice Physician for our family health clinic. This position will provide a full scope of primary care services, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance to patients.

Family Practice Physician Profile:
• Outpatient Family Medicine
• Five physicians and three advanced practitioners, as well as, a Community Health Team.
• Charting: EMR …. Cerner
• May supervise PA or NP, and Nursing Staff assigned from pool
• Opportunity to include hospitalist rotation of one in seven.
• Optional ED Per Diem Shifts Available

Minimum Requirements: MD or DO degree from an accredited school of Medicine or Osteopathy; licensed to practice in Vermont; current DEA and DPS certificate of registration; Board Certified or eligible in Family Practice Medicine.

ADVANCED PRACTICE – PHYSICIAN’S ASSISTANT

We currently are seeking an Advanced Practice Professional Physician’s Assistant for our family health clinic.  This position will provide a full scope of primary care services, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance to patients.

EMT / PARAMEDIC – Per Diem

 Job Summary:  Provides basic patient care, treatments and services within the EMT scope of practice that is appropriate for the patient’s condition and psychosocial/physical needs.

Duties: Clinical duties may include but are not limited to: preparing for procedure, preparing patients for exam, taking medical histories, collecting and testing (POC) of specimens, performing phlebotomy, starting peripheral intravenous lines, removing sutures, changing dressings, administration of meds (as outlined in scope of practice), performing EKGs and applying Zio Patches.  Will be responsible for registering emergency room patient and after hours out patients.

Requirements: HS graduate or GED; current BLS certification required; current and maintained Emergency Medical Technician Certification at the Basic, Advanced or Paramedic level; Obtain ACLS, PHTLS and PALS within 1 year of employment.

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – PER DIEM

Responsibilities: Responsible for administration and direct application of Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Evaluates plans, directs and treats all patients referred to speech/language pathology. Able to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Treatment experience with all age ranges helpful, but not required. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Performs some administrative duties at the delegation of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Participates in infection control, safety and educational programs, both in the department and on an organizational basis.

Requirements: Must have CCC-SLP. Holds a Master’s degree from an accredited college or school of speech/language pathology. Current State Licensure in speech pathology (or eligible). impact Current BCLS certification. New graduates welcome to apply.
