Responsibilities: Duties include patient assessments/reassessments, development of the patient’s plan of care, implementation of physician’s orders including medication administration and treatments, evaluation of patient’s response to treatment and nursing interventions with appropriate follow-through.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Vermont RN license in good standing. Minimum of 1 year experience preferred. Current BLS certification. RN/LPN OFFICE NURSE or CMA/RMA – Full-time, day shift

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the immediate care of patients as directed by a Medical provider and RN supervisor; screening and assisting practitioners with exams and procedures and updating clinical information.  Supports different medical providers when needed, team approach. Excellent communication skills with patients, families and staff ensuring quality care while maintaining confidentiality a must.  Position is Monday-Friday.

Qualifications: 

  • RN/LPN- graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current VT RN license in good standing. Experience working in a provider practice preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • AAMA-CMA or ARMA-RMA – certified through the Certifying Board of American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or certification eligible or registered with the American Registry of Medical Assistants or eligible.

Job Summary: Responsibilities include patient triage and initial assessment; implementation of ED provider’s orders with reassessment and evaluation of patient’s response to treatment and interventions; and discharge care teaching.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Vermont RN license in good standing. Emergency Department nursing experience required. Current BLS, ACLS PALS and/or ENPC certifications required. TNCC certification to be obtained within 1 year of hire. Computer skills and familiarity with using an electronic medical record essential. LAUNDRY/HOUSEKEEPER — Per diem

Job Summary: Responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas in the hospital and office buildings.  Performs mopping, cleaning, dusting, trash removal, replenishing supplies and washing areas as assigned by the housekeeping director.

Qualifications: Previous cleaning experience preferred, but will train; knowledge of infection control helpful; excellent customer service skills, ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality a must.

HOSPITALIST  — Full-time

Job Summary: The Hospitalist will provide the full scope of duties including but not limited to assessment, evaluation, diagnostic determination, on-going treatment and clinical management, necessary referral for consultation, care planning and modification, medications/therapeutic orders, transfer authorization, risk assessment and when appropriate determination of readiness and planning for discharge for hospital inpatients. Direct contact and consultation with patient family members, friends, advocates, and others to ensure effective communication of patient status and care plans, and to encourage/support a positive work culture within cross-departmental teams and functions.

Qualifications: MD or DO degree from an accredited school of Medicine or Osteopathy, licensed to practice in VT. Current DEA and DPS Certificate or Registration. Insurability (malpractice).

RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST — Per Diem

Job Summary: Plans, organizes and accomplishes activities in the Imaging Department according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession and state and federal law.  Works independently; provide high quality imaging studies; greet patients; review physician orders and enter necessary data into computer system; participates in quality improvement projects.  Maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict policies and procedures while treating patients with care.

Qualifications: Working knowledge of ARRT; VT State License; BLS certified; ability to collaborate with clinical support staff, physicians and other health care professionals as part of a team-based, patient-centered care approach.

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – Per Diem

Responsibilities: Responsible for administration and direct application of Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Evaluates plans, directs and treats all patients referred to speech/language pathology. Able to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Treatment experience with all age ranges helpful, but not required. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Performs some administrative duties at the delegation of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Participates in infection control, safety and educational programs, both in the department and on an organizational basis.

Requirements: Must have CCC-SLP. Holds a Master’s degree from an accredited college or school of speech/language pathology. Current State Licensure in speech pathology (or eligible). impact Current BCLS certification. New graduates welcome to apply.

UNIT CLERK, Emergency Department/Inpatient Per Diem/Days

Shift:  7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital has an immediate opening for a per diem Unit Clerk for the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities: Performs receptionist duties for the Inpatient Care Unit and Emergency Department (ED), greeting patients and visitors arriving at the Hospital.  Alerts the ED RN of patients presenting for emergency care.  Registers ED patients and new admissions to the Inpatient Unit following approved Hospital procedures, obtaining required information and consent for treatment.  Functions as clerical support for the Inpatient Unit and ED.

Requirements: Candidates must be detail oriented and able to multitask.  Strong computer skills and excellent customer service skills a must.  Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.  Previous healthcare experience preferred.
