RN MED/SURG — Part-time, Nights

Responsibilities: Duties include patient assessments/reassessments, development of the patient’s plan of care, implementation of physician’s orders including medication administration and treatments, evaluation of patient’s response to treatment and nursing interventions with appropriate follow-through.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Vermont RN license in good standing. Minimum of 1 year experience preferred. Current BLS certification. Computer skills and familiarity with using an electronic medical record essential. Excellent customer service skills. Strong team player.

SCHEDULER — Full-time, 40 Hours, M-F

Job Summary: Answers telephones and speaks with patients to identify and meet their health

Care needs in a superior manner; performs call triaging and routes calls internally.  Schedules appointments  as requested by callers/patients by using  scheduling software; contacts patients to confirm or reschedule their appointment and uses clinic protocols to determine appropriate appointment assignment.  Documents patient calls, issues and resolutions appropriately.  Performs new patient registration and sends welcome packets. Complete insurance verifications.

Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent; previous experience working in a clinical setting, knowledge of medical terminology, and/or experience with scheduling software is preferred.  Demonstrate the ability to properly use the phone and computer systems, fax machines, photocopies, scanners, printers and other business machinery.  MUST have excellent customer service skills.  MUST maintain a cooperative professional working relationship with staff, outside agencies, community members and patients.  Maintain confidentiality of patient information according to Grace Cottage policy and federal/state guideline and regulations.

REGISTRATION CLERK — Part-time

Job Summary: Graciously greet patients/visitors at the registration area; telephone reception, including screening and routing of calls; and patient registration.

SCREENER/COVID-19 TESTER- LNA/MA/EMT — Full-time, Temp

Job Summary: The Screener/ Covid-19 Swab Tester assists with the organizational effort to collect COVID-19 specimens for symptomatic and asymptomatic patients and provide a full range of support services, including superior customer service in the welcoming and screening of patients to the Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital.

Qualifications: High school diploma. Graduate from an appropriate clinical program deemed necessary by the individual’s role. Current licensure or certification required per clinical role, either LNA, MA, or EMT. Works collaboratively with medical staff providers and nursing staff.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the immediate care of patients as directed by a Medical provider and RN supervisor; screening and assisting practitioners with exams and procedures and updating clinical information.  Supports different medical providers when needed, team approach. Qualifications:

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – Per Diem

Responsibilities: Responsible for administration and direct application of Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Evaluates plans, directs and treats all patients referred to speech/language pathology. Able to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Treatment experience with all age ranges helpful, but not required. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Performs some administrative duties at the delegation of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Participates in infection control, safety and educational programs, both in the department and on an organizational basis.

Requirements: Must have CCC-SLP. Holds a Master’s degree from an accredited college or school of speech/language pathology. Current State Licensure in speech pathology (or eligible). impact Current BCLS certification. New graduates welcome to apply.

UNIT CLERK: Emergency Department/Inpatient Per Diem/Days

Shift:  7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital has an immediate opening for a per diem Unit Clerk for the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities: Performs receptionist duties for the Inpatient Care Unit and Emergency Department (ED), greeting patients and visitors arriving at the Hospital.  Alerts the ED RN of patients presenting for emergency care.  Registers ED patients and new admissions to the Inpatient Unit following approved Hospital procedures, obtaining required information and consent for treatment.  Functions as clerical support for the Inpatient Unit and ED.

Requirements: Candidates must be detail oriented and able to multitask.  Strong computer skills and excellent customer service skills a must.  Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.  Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Job Summary: Grace Cottage Hospital has an immediate opening for an MT/MLT in our full-service laboratory.  We serve both inpatients and outpatients and perform over 75,000 lab tests per year.   Graduate of an approved MT/MLT program; Experience in Blood Bank and Hematology preferred.  Strong computer skills and excellent customer service skills a must.  Position is per diem with fair share of weekends, holidays and after hours call.

LICENSED NURSING ASSISTANTS: Per Diem

Job Summary: Grace Cottage Hospital has an immediate need for per diem employees for our Inpatient Care unit. Positions can cover all shifts. Duties include assisting hospitalized patients with activities of daily living and providing basic nursing care as directed and supervised by a registered nurse.

Requirements: Current Vermont licensure as a nursing assistant; minimum of 1 year experience as an LNA in a Nursing Home or Hospital setting; excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience working with an electronic health record preferred. Successful candidate will be flexible in hours and shifts needed.
