DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES 

Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital currently has a full-time opening for a Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities include: oversight of daily operations of the Human Resources department; management of HR staff; policy development and implementation; employee relations; recruitment; on-boarding/orientation program development; management of the employee performance evaluation process; ensuring legal compliance; administration of employee benefits programs; and employee safety and volunteer program oversight.  Other responsibilities include development and implementation of management education training programs.  This position acts as a liaison for employee/employer issues and is a resource for all levels of employment, including staff, management, and senior leadership.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; minimum of 5 years progressively responsible HR experience; and demonstrated success in creating a positive employee relations environment.  An ability to facilitate and maintain positive relationships with staff and leadership, and a solid familiarity with employment law is preferred.  Health care experience not required.

The Director of Human Resources reports directly to the President/CEO of Grace Cottage.

CLINIC FLOAT POSITION
Per Diem. Monday-Friday as needed.

Job Responsibilities: Registering patients and insurance verification: Schedule patient appointments; answering telephones; take phone messages; electronic messaging; scanning; working with providers, and other internal staff; coordinate consultant referrals; maintain positive professional relationships and rapport with patients, patient family members, and co-workers; other general office duties as required. Support Scheduling Center and Patient Care Coordinators as needed. Maintaining confidentiality a must.

Job Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficient computer skills. Registration experience in a healthcare setting and knowledgeable with health insurances preferred.

Full Time. Monday – Friday.

Grace Cottage Family Health and Hospital currently has an opening for a full-time LPN Office Nurse or CMA/RMA for Grace Cottage Family Health Clinic.

Job Responsibilities:  This position is responsible for the immediate care of patients as directed by a Medical provider and RN supervisor; screening and assisting practitioners with exams and procedures and updating clinical information.  Supports different medical providers when needed, team approach. Excellent communication skills with patients, families and staff ensuring quality care while maintaining confidentiality a must.  Position is Monday-Friday.

Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current VT LPN license in good standing. Experience working in a provider practice preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. AAMA-CMA or ARMA-RMA – certified through the Certifying Board of American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or certification eligible or registered with the American Registry of Medical Assistants or eligible.

Grace Cottage Hospital has an immediate opening for an MT/MLT in our full-service laboratory.  We serve both inpatients and outpatients and perform over 75,000 lab tests per year.   Graduate of an approved MT/MLT program; Experience in Blood Bank and Hematology preferred.  Strong computer skills and excellent customer service skills a must.  Position is per diem with fair share of weekends, holidays and after hours call.

HOUSEKEEPER – PART TIME – 20 hours per week.
Temporary Position. Shift: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – Per Diem

Responsibilities: Responsible for administration and direct application of Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Evaluates plans, directs and treats all patients referred to speech/language pathology. Able to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Treatment experience with all age ranges helpful, but not required. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Performs some administrative duties at the delegation of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Participates in infection control, safety and educational programs, both in the department and on an organizational basis.

Requirements: Must have CCC-SLP. Holds a Master’s degree from an accredited college or school of speech/language pathology. Current State Licensure in speech pathology (or eligible). impact Current BCLS certification. New graduates welcome to apply.

CT/RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST – Per Diem

Responsibilities: Provide exemplary service to both our internal and external customers. Employee will plan, organize, and accomplish activities in the Imaging Department according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal law. Possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing high quality CT and Radiographic studies. Review physician orders and exercise great attention to detail. Actively participate in quality improvement projects within the department. Maintain confidentiality at all times and adhere to strict policies and procedures.

Requirements: Working knowledge of PACS; CT Certification; ARRT; VT State License; BLS certified; ability to collaborate with clinical support staff, physicians and other health care professionals as part of a team-based, patient-centered care approach.

EMT / PARAMEDIC – Per Diem

 Job Summary:  Provides basic patient care, treatments and services within the EMT scope of practice that is appropriate for the patient’s condition and psychosocial/physical needs.

Duties: Clinical duties may include but are not limited to: preparing for procedure, preparing patients for exam, taking medical histories, collecting and testing (POC) of specimens, performing phlebotomy, starting peripheral intravenous lines, removing sutures, changing dressings, administration of meds (as outlined in scope of practice), performing EKGs and applying Zio Patches.  Will be responsible for registering emergency room patient and after hours out patients.

Requirements: HS graduate or GED; current BLS certification required; current and maintained Emergency Medical Technician Certification at the Basic, Advanced or Paramedic level; Obtain ACLS, PHTLS and PALS within 1 year of employment.
