REGISTERED NURSE – Part time – (16 hours week 1, 24 hours week 2) Shift:  Day Shift

Grace Cottage Family Health and Hospital has an immediate need for a part time RN for the Nursing department/Inpatient care unit. Position is part time, day shift; 16 hours week 1, 24 hours week 2.

Job Responsibilities: Duties include Patient assessments/reassessments, development of the patient’s plan of care, implementation of physician’s orders including medication administration and treatments, evaluation of patient’s response to treatment and nursing interventions with appropriate follow-through.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Vermont RN license in good standing. Minimum of 1-year experience preferred, however new graduates are encouraged to apply. Current BLS certification. BSN preferred.  Computer skills and familiarity with using an electronic medical record essential. Excellent customer service skills. Strong team player.

CHARGE NURSE/INPATIENT CARE UNIT

Full Time: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours/week with weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Responsibilities: The Charge Nurse (CN) for the Inpatient Care Unit will be responsible for supporting the staff while coordinating and directing the flow of patient care activities, on a shift by shift basis, to ensure continuity and quality of care. The Charge Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care for all assigned patients on the in-patient unit and/or emergency room.  Communicates with physicians, mid-levels, Nurse Manager and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.  Is able to respond quickly and appropriately in emergent situations.

Requirements: Current Vermont licensure, ACLS and PALS preferred. Minimum  one year experience as an RN on an inpatient unit. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST/MED LAB TECHNICIAN

Full-Time/Days

 Job Summary: Grace Cottage Hospital has an immediate opening for an MT/MLT in our full-service laboratory.  We serve both inpatients and outpatients and perform over 75,000 lab tests per year.

Requirements: Graduate of an approved MT/MLT program; Experience as a generalist and blood bank preferred.  Strong computer skills and excellent customer service skills a must.  Position is full-time day shift. Position would include shared on-call, holidays and weekends.

EMT/PARAMEDIC – Per Diem

Job Summary:  Provides basic patient care, treatments and services within the EMT scope of practice that is appropriate for the patient’s condition and psychosocial/physical needs.

Duties: Clinical duties may include but are not limited to: preparing for procedure, preparing patients for exam, taking medical histories, collecting and testing (POC) of specimens, performing phlebotomy, starting peripheral intravenous lines, removing sutures, changing dressings, administration of meds (as outlined in scope of practice), performing EKGs and applying Zio Patches.  Will be responsible for registering emergency room patient and after hours out patients.

Requirements: High School graduate or GED; Current BLS certification required; Current and maintained Emergency Medical Technician Certification at the Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic level; Obtain ACLS, PHTLS and PALS within 1 year of employment.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST – Full Time, 32 to 40 Hours/Week

Job Responsibilities: Treat a diverse outpatient caseload as a member of our rehabilitation team of physical and occupational therapists. This position will primarily serve general medical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions. We offer individual 45-minute sessions for all outpatient visits.

Job Requirements: Graduate of accredited program. Has current Vermont license in good standing (or willing to obtain).  The ideal candidate will have a strong orthopedic background. Excellent patient service skills. Strong team player.

DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES 

Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital currently has a full-time opening for a Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities include: oversight of daily operations of the Human Resources department; management of HR staff; policy development and implementation; employee relations; recruitment; on-boarding/orientation program development; management of the employee performance evaluation process; ensuring legal compliance; administration of employee benefits programs; and employee safety and volunteer program oversight.  Other responsibilities include development and implementation of management education training programs.  This position acts as a liaison for employee/employer issues and is a resource for all levels of employment, including staff, management, and senior leadership.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; minimum of 5 years progressively responsible HR experience; and demonstrated success in creating a positive employee relations environment.  An ability to facilitate and maintain positive relationships with staff and leadership, and a solid familiarity with employment law is preferred.  Health care experience not required.

The Director of Human Resources reports directly to the President/CEO of Grace Cottage.

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – Per Diem

Responsibilities: Responsible for administration and direct application of Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Evaluates plans, directs and treats all patients referred to speech/language pathology. Able to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Treatment experience with all age ranges helpful, but not required. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Performs some administrative duties at the delegation of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Participates in infection control, safety and educational programs, both in the department and on an organizational basis.

Requirements: Must have CCC-SLP. Holds a Master’s degree from an accredited college or school of speech/language pathology. Current State Licensure in speech pathology (or eligible). impact Current BCLS certification. New graduates welcome to apply.

CT/RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST – Per Diem

Responsibilities: Provide exemplary service to both our internal and external customers. Employee will plan, organize, and accomplish activities in the Imaging Department according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal law. Possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing high quality CT and Radiographic studies. Review physician orders and exercise great attention to detail. Actively participate in quality improvement projects within the department. Maintain confidentiality at all times and adhere to strict policies and procedures.

Requirements: Working knowledge of PACS; CT Certification; ARRT; VT State License; BLS certified; ability to collaborate with clinical support staff, physicians and other health care professionals as part of a team-based, patient-centered care approach.

LICENSED NURSING ASSISTANTS: Per Diem

Grace Cottage Hospital has an immediate need for per diem employees for our Inpatient Care unit. Positions can cover all shifts. Duties include assisting hospitalized patients with activities of daily living and providing basic nursing care as directed and supervised by a registered nurse.

Requirements: Current Vermont licensure as a nursing assistant; minimum of 1 year experience as an LNA in a Nursing Home or Hospital setting; excellent communication and customer service skills.
