Weight Loss Support Group

Informal group led by Health Coach Liz Harrison.  Walk-ins welcome.  Free.  More info:  365-3766

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group

Facilitated group focuesed on the challenges of caring for people with dementia/Alzheimer’s.  Led by Claire Bemis, RN & Alicia Moyer of SASH.  Free.  More info: 365-3763

Mental Illness Family Support Group

Safe and confidential group where individuals can talk about the challenges of having a loved one with a mental illness.  Facilitated by trained members of NAMI.  Walk-ins welcome.  Free.  More info: 713-591-2857

Viniyoga-style Yoga

A gentle yet invigorating class that combines breath work with asana in a flow sequence.  Instructor:  Crystal Mansfield.  Walk-ins welcome.  $5/class.

Chair Yoga

A class for newcomers to yoga or those with limited flexibility.  Instructor:  Crystal Mansfield.  $5/class or $25 for 6 weeks.

Tai Chi for Fall Prevention

Class focus on developing balance and flexibility.  Beginner classes are offered in 6-week series.  Free.  Call to save your space in the next series:  365-3649.

Strong Bones

A popular strength and balance class for older adults.  Participants generally go 2x/week on a regular basis.  $3/class.  Clean, soft-soled shoes.  Pre-registration required: 365-3649.
